We
are a non-denominational Christian congregation of 300 plus
members located in the heart of Fort Worth's hospital
district. Our backgrounds are varied and diverse. Our
congregation consists of people who come from well over
forty religious backgrounds. We have found that people from
diverse religions can indeed worship together in unity.
While our primary outreach is to the gay/lesbian community,
we welcome all people here at Celebration and believe you
will be comfortable worshipping here.
Browse throughout our website and learn about us. It is our
hope that you will find, through the website, that we are a
welcoming church full of loving people who are sincerely
interested in serving our God and the community of
humankind.
In the
event you are looking for a church home, we invite you to join us for worship.
We will be waiting for you.
Blessings--
Pastor Carol West

School
Supplies
Please continue to bring the much needed school
supplies and drop them in the boxes located in the
Sanctuary and the Fellowship Hall. For the last five
years Celebration has helped a local school with
supplies such as blunt scissors, pencils, crayolas,
papers, etc. Our member Ingrid Retzer, pictured
above is working with our police and MP’s in
Afghanistan, and we are also helping our troops,
police and Afghani children with these supplies. Our
troops and police there need writing materials.
A
Night To Remember
It's almost that time for an exciting evening at the
annual Black Tie Dinner! The dinner will be held
Saturday, November 22nd, at the Sheraton Dallas
downtown. For those of you who do not already have
tickets to the Dinner and would like to go with
fellow Celebration folk and their acquaintances,
please indicate your intention to do so on the red
attendance pad or call the church office as soon as
possible. The tickets are $300 each and your payment
will be due by September 1st. Please make your check
payable to Black Tie Dinner. We will secure as many
tables as necessary to accommodate those who wish to
attend. Last year, 50+ of us went to the Dinner and
had a delightful evening together.
Kenneth Cole will be speaking. Kenneth
Cole’s name is synonymous with one of the top labels
in
contemporary fashion that sells
shoes, clothing, and accessories, but he is just as
well known as a
humanitarian, activist and
philanthropist. Bishop
Gene Robinson, the first openly gay bishop in the
Anglican Church, has been chosen to receive the
Elizabeth Burch Equality Award and will be there
that evening to receive it. And finally, the media
award is being given to LOGO, the GLBT and online
media outlet from MTV Networks. This is a
fantastic way to have a special night out while
giving back to so many in our community. Last year,
Black Tie distributed $1.27 MILLION dollars to the
chosen beneficiaries - and we were blessed to be one
of them! We are again blessed this year as a
beneficiary and your dollars go directly to our
bottom line, as well as many other worthy North
Texas beneficiaries. Hope to see you there!
